Lebanese In Police Net Over Traffic Offence In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested John Greg, a middle-aged Lebanese who allegedly drove against traffic and struck a victim.

The culprit escaped before being apprehended, according to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest on his verified Twitter profile.

According to Hundeyin, a middle-aged Lebanese named John Greg drove a Toyota 4Runner dangerously and against traffic on Sanusi Fafunwa Road, Victoria Island, on May 4 at about 7.45 a.m.

He claimed the culprit knocked down one woman, Omotomi Akinsanya, who had major leg injuries.

“He sped away but was pursued and apprehended.

We have a suspect in our custody.

“The vehicle has been impounded and is being held at our station.” At the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, the victim is receiving treatment (LASUTH).

The victim’s relatives were properly notified.

The Embassy of Lebanon has been notified.

He replied, “Investigation is underway.”
