Although the Portuguese is looking to leave United, new manager Erik Ten Hag says he is ‘not for sale’.
But it is now believed United could let the 37-year-old leave before the September 1 transfer window closes.

Ronaldo has one year left on the contract he signed when he returned to United from Juventus a year ago.
Despite returning, United failed to qualify for the Champions League last season after finishing sixth in the Premier League. They are now bottom of the table for the first time since 1992-93, having lost their first two games of the season.
